Short Term and Long Term Mission Trips

Join Sonshine Ministries International on a Short-Term Mission Trip and Safari to our Children's Village near Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Together we will make a real difference in the lives of these poorest of the poor. Our short term trips usually last 2 to 4 weeks. You don’t need any special qualifications, just a willing heart to love and serve! If you have special training as a doctor, nurse, pastor or children’s program worker, it’s all the better.     

There are many ways to help. Ministry here can be holding a baby or playing soccer, digging trenches or putting a new roof on a house, working in the garden or helping with the animals. We are always building and growing. We have children’s homes under construction, staff and support buildings going up, fences and roads to improve, the list is long.

Our outreach ministries include street festivals, hospital ministry, health clinics, conferences, food programs and more. There is always something to be done and if you’re looking for a way to serve, you will find it at Sonshine Village.  One of our biggest priorities is to cover the children with love. Our visitors are a tremendous blessing to the children who have lost so much. We give them plenty of love but the kids still need lots of hugs from you. We are always amazed at all of the love and care our ministry teams bring to us each year.

We always encourage our volunteers to take a few days off for Safari, a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro, or just relaxing in Africa. We have some of the finest Safari Guides in East Africa available to us.
